🎂 Celebrating 60 Years of Seabridge Primary School

This year, Seabridge Primary School reaches a truly special milestone — 60 years of inspiring, nurturing and educating the children of our community. To mark this incredible occasion, we are throwing open the school gates and inviting everyone to join us: past, present and future pupils, parents, teachers, staff and friends — and the wider local community.

Whether you attended Seabridge decades ago or your child is just starting their journey here, this is your celebration too. Come along, share in the fun, and help us raise vital funds for the PTA — money that goes directly back into supporting our pupils and the school.

📸 Share your memories! Do you have old photos, stories or memories of Seabridge Primary over the past 60 years? We'd love to see them! Send them to us at [email protected] and we'll compile them together to celebrate the school's incredible history.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? We've got answers

The Seabridge Primary School Summer Fair is a special community celebration bringing together pupils, families, staff and friends for a wonderful afternoon of fun, food and activities. This year is particularly exciting — we are marking the school's 60th birthday, making it an occasion to look back with pride at six decades of achievement, and forward with excitement at the future.

The fair is a chance to enjoy a relaxed and joyful afternoon together as a school community, with something for everyone — from hands-on sports and skills sessions for the children to great food, games, a raffle and much more. It's also a fundraising event, with all proceeds going to the PTA to be invested directly back into the school to support our pupils and enrich their learning experiences.

Whether you're a current family, a former pupil, a local resident or simply someone who loves a great community event — you are very welcome. Come and be part of something special.
Children under 5 are very welcome and entry is completely free — though we do ask that you obtain a free Under 5s ticket in advance so we can plan numbers. For everyone aged 5 and over — children and adults alike — one of our paid ticket options is required. We don't have separate adult and child pricing, so just pick the ticket that suits you best and you're all set!
Seabridge Primary School, Roe Lane, Newcastle, ST5 3PJ. The fair will be held in the school grounds.
The fair runs from 4:30pm to 6:30pm on Monday 13th July 2026.
Tickets are available from the PTA Online Shop or on the gate on the day — cash and card accepted.
Tokens are the currency for most PTA-run games and activities at the fair, including inflatables, laser tag and orienteering. They can also be spent at the drinks, tuck shop and cakes stalls at 1 token = 80p. See the full Token Policy for details.
No — tokens are non-refundable. Please only buy what you expect to use on the day. If you have tokens left over, remember they can be spent at the drinks, tuck shop and cakes stalls at a rate of 1 token = 80p — see the full Token Policy for details.
Yes! A Token Kiosk will be available on site. Larger bundles offer bonus tokens — £10 gets you 12 tokens and £20 gets you 25.
We are delighted to have Staffordshire Fire & Rescue, Staffordshire Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire Blood Bikes hoping to attend — but all attendances are subject to operational priorities. Services may be called away or unable to attend on the day.
Yes! Sans Taco Truck will be offering vegetarian versions of their burgers, hot dogs and tacos.
Parking on the school site is very limited. We ask that visitors park responsibly on the surrounding streets and walk to the school wherever possible — it's not far and helps keep the roads around the school clear and safe for everyone. Please do not park on the Seabridge pub car park, as this is private property and reserved for their customers.
We hope for sunshine, but we're prepared for a British summer! If the weather is wet, we will endeavour to move as many stalls and activities inside as possible. Some activities cannot be moved indoors and a decision will be made on the day as to what can safely continue outdoors. We will share any updates via our Facebook page.
Yes — the school site is flat and fully accessible for pushchairs and buggies. If you have any specific accessibility requirements or concerns, please get in touch with us in advance at [email protected] and we will do our best to help.
Last entry to the fair is at 6:15pm. The fair closes at 6:30pm, so please arrive in plenty of time to make the most of your visit!
We are aiming to draw the raffle at 6:00pm on the day. Make sure you have your tickets — and your fingers crossed!
Don't worry! If we weren't able to identify which child a ticket belongs to, we will have sent an email to the address used when ordering, asking for your child's name and class. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from [email protected] and respond with the details so we can get your tickets to you. If you haven't received an email, your tickets may already be on their way — or you can always collect them at the gate on the day.

Event Updates

Summer Fair rescheduled to Monday 13 July 2026

🎉

STATUS: EVENT RESCHEDULED — MONDAY 13 JULY 2026

Last updated: Wednesday 1 July 2026, 7:30pm

Update — Wednesday 1 July 2026, 7:30pm

We are currently working through all of our external providers and organisations to confirm their availability for the rescheduled date. At such short notice, some are unfortunately unable to attend, and we are working hard to source suitable replacements where we can. As confirmations come in, listings across the site are being marked as ✓ Confirmed — so check the individual activity and refreshment pages to see who is confirmed to be joining us on 13 July.

Update — Friday 26 June 2026, 4:26pm

We are delighted to confirm that the Seabridge Primary School Summer Fair has been rescheduled to Monday 13 July 2026, same time (4:30pm–6:30pm) and same place (Seabridge Primary School, Roe Lane, Newcastle, ST5 3PJ).

All existing tickets remain valid for the new date — there is no need to do anything with your tickets. Any tickets not delivered to children in school by Monday 13 July will be available to collect at the gate on the day.

If we are unable to identify who a ticket belongs to in order to deliver it to a child in school, you will receive an email from [email protected] asking for that information — please do respond so we can get your tickets to you!

We are working through the details of the rescheduled event and will share further updates here and on our Facebook page as soon as we have them. Thank you so much for your patience and continued support — we can't wait to see you all on 13 July!

Update — Wednesday 24 June 2026, 5:30pm

The Summer Fair on the 25th June has been postponed. The school have made the decision due to the effects of the current extreme weather on the staff and students in school today, that it is no longer feasible to run the fair tomorrow. Please be assured that this decision has not been taken lightly.

The school are currently investigating whether there is a possibility of rearranging the fair at a later date this year. More information about that will be released when we have it.

More information about ticket refunds and how the raffle will be managed will follow in due course. For now please hang on to any wristbands and raffle tickets/monies you have.

Update — Wednesday 24 June 2026, 11:30am

Having consulted with the Academy Trust, the local council's Safety Officer and the HSE, the PTA in conjunction with the school have made the decision to remove the inflatables from the fair. We're aware that this will be a disappointment to the children, however their safety is our primary concern and in extreme temperatures inflatable activities pose an unacceptable safety risk.

We are confident the rest of the fair will go ahead as planned. We have put in place mitigations for the remainder of the event and do not foresee having to make any further changes to the more than 30 stalls, activities and games we have planned for tomorrow.

We ask that all visitors take the weather warning into consideration when planning to attend. Water fountains are available in the school so please bring refillable bottles if you can. There will be drinks and ice creams for sale, and dedicated shelter and rest locations are being set up for volunteers and attendees.

Update — Tuesday 23 June 2026, 11:42pm

The Met Office has issued an Amber Heat Warning for our area, with temperatures forecast to reach around 33°C on Thursday afternoon — right around the time of our Summer Fair.

The safety and wellbeing of our children, families and volunteers is always our top priority, and we want to keep you fully informed as we respond to this.

At this stage, there are no plans to postpone or cancel the fair — however, there may need to be some adjustments or removal of some stalls and activities depending on conditions on the day. We will share further updates here as soon as we have more information.

☀️ What We're Putting in Place

  • Additional shade will be provided across the event site
  • The school's water fountains will be open and freely available for drinking water and water bottle refills throughout the afternoon
  • Both indoor and outdoor activities will be available on the day, with indoor spaces open to rest and cool down out of the sun
  • We will continue to monitor the forecast and adapt arrangements as needed

👨‍👩‍👧 A Note for All Attendees

We ask that all parents and carers keep a close eye on their children throughout the afternoon — young people can feel the heat quickly, so regular shade breaks and plenty of water will go a long way.

Please come prepared: sun cream, hats, and a refillable water bottle are strongly recommended.

If you or your child feels unwell, please speak to a member of the team straight away.

Thank you for your patience and understanding — we're working hard to make sure this is still a fantastic celebration of the school's 60th anniversary. This page will be updated as further information becomes available.
